The end of Kalyug

After a long hiatus, I’m back once again...and hope to stay. The incessant honking of traffic in Bangalore is capable of driving a perfectly sensible person absolutely insane. I wonder sometimes, what has happened to etiquette and other common courtesies? Have we become so civilized as to regress to loutish behaviour? No longer do people greet you with a smile or step aside to let an older person go by. It’s rare indeed to find a kind soul who gives without expecting anything in return. Mankind has become selfish and degenerated, thoughtless and unkind. Everybody is in a hurry...to reach a destination that has no basis on humanitarian ground. People talk of the end of Kalyug, and the dawning of a new era. Non-stop babble of how the worst is yet to come...I wonder, is all this prattle just that or is it possible that It is darkest just before dawn, a premonition of what is due to come. They say karma is stronger than any other force; nature will take its course. There are predictions of world-wide calamities that will come to the forefront before the new era emerges...floods, tsunamis, earthquakes and cyclones seem to be the force that we humans are battling today. The end of Kalyug doesn’t seem too far-fetched now, does it?

Kalyug has a lot of history to it....suffice it to say, there is a lot of information on it. I didn't feel the need to expand on this. If you would like to know more - send me an email, and I'll be happy to respond.
